Food, and as a result cuisine, is a serious thing: in spite of the most basic function in providing the energy and elements the body needs, food is conceptually a gift, the communication of affection, care, love. From the baked potatoes and sauce of the street food van to the deconstructed plate of a famous restaurant, eating is a gift that you give yourself, it is attention in welcoming guests, the affection that repays friends, the love for those who are a fundamental part of your life.

Who We Are
We are us: a small business founded in 2015 in the heart of Emilia Romagna, where there is the possibility of finding certain products at their best. My father was a dairyman for years and I, as a child, walked among Parmesan cheeses, brine vats, fleeces and cows, because simultaneously we also bred animals for the milk used in the making of Parmigiano Reggiano. My grandmother was the "rezdora" (the housekeeper), it she was who prepared the various meals, with help from my mother. Among the scents of meat sauce (at home) and curd (in the dairy) a passion for the table that has always linked us to the flavours and products of our region was born. A passion that is now the desire to give everyone the opportunity to get to know and appreciate some of the most famous food in Italian cuisine.
BEHIND THE SCENES
The first breath of CASEINUS born one afternoon several years ago on a terrace, on the sea - precisely the Red Sea - in the hot desert sun, which must have helped the ideas to mingle, like when water boils and moves spaghetti in any direction. The ideas of that afternoon remained in gestation for a long time, nearly napping, but always kept in a state of waking from friends, with their "this Parmesan is delicious, you should sell it." And slowly a few pieces begin to take shape: a tasting dinner with a friend organ builder, a buffet to a dance night, until you feel that something has already started, and you understand that there is a new way forward. From here the boxes, labels, bureaucracy, etc ..., because the products are already there. For thousands of years.
